Hope Street Condominium Project

The Hope Street Condominium Project is in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. The project included adding, altering, and converting an existing commercial loft building into six boutique luxury condominium apartments. This includes adding two new floors to the existing structure and completely renovating the two-story cellar factory building. All new fixtures, finishes, cabinets, and all utilities were replaced. The apartments consist of modern finishes with stylish fixtures.

The kitchen and loft above feature an open-to-below area, connecting the common spaces, like the living and dining areas on the lower level, with a loft above. This design promotes connectivity among apartment dwellers. The light color palette of the finishes adds warmth and creates an illusion of spaciousness. Harnessing natural daylight streaming in through front and side windows, this space becomes a dream-worthy haven. Characterized by its elegance and ample luminosity, the kitchen features expansive storage capacity, rendering it a space for a dream. The elegant and carefully chosen finishes create a space where simplicity, brightness, and elegance characterize this kitchen as truly
worthy of a dream.

A spacious living and dining area with large windows and double-height ceilings harnesses natural daylight infusing warmth and creating an airy, expansive, atmosphere. Another advantage of the double ceiling height is you now have a spacious living area with sizeable windows inviting more sunlight in.

The bedrooms are spacious yet cozy, adorned with simple yet elegant finishes carefully selected to cultivate a relaxing environment. The large window floods the space with natural light, enhancing its brightness and charm. In this spacious and cozy bedroom, the light color palette of its finishes creates an illusion of expanded space. The large window allows ample daylight and welcomes fresh air, making this room an inviting and pleasant living place.

Luminous finishes transform the expansive bathroom into a radiant retreat. The color selection converted the space into a sophisticated yet tranquil space.

This Hope Street Condominium Project contains an extensive recreational terrace perfect for apartment owners to relax and host gatherings with family and friends. The views from the terrace are a plus.

Hope Street Boutique is in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. A little bit of history: it was an Independent city until 1885 when Brooklyn annexed it. Williamsburg was a vital industrial district until the mid-20th century. Economic contraction occurred in this area due to job outsourcing in the 1970’s. Activist groups addressed housing infrastructure and youth education issues, leading to a turnaround in the late 20th century. An eco-social arts movement emerged alongside activists in the late 1980s, creating a vibrant scene in the streets, rooftops, and warehouses. Small, locally owned businesses returned during the 1990’s.

In the 21st century, zoning changes and tax abatements led to the dominance of high-rises and chain stores. Despite rising living costs, a new contemporary art scene and vibrant nightlife emerged. Williamsburg’s intensity and innovations during the immersionist era projected its image internationally as a “Little Berlin.” Numerous ethnic groups inhabit enclaves within the neighborhood, including Italians, Jews, Hispanics, Puerto Ricans, and Dominicans.

Scarano Architect, PLLC was a major force in the growth of the Williamsburg area into the “hip and trendy” place it is today. Williamsburg is thriving thanks to Robert Scarano, who took chances and built up a very run-down area. Many young people come to live here from all over the country. They had no idea how uninhabitable and dangerous
many parts of Williamsburg were.

Today, Williamsburg has trendy shopping, beautiful parks with magnificent views of New York City, unique eateries, and a real New Yorker vibe. It is close to Manhattan (just one short stop from the East Village), but you will find a world of differences here. Whether you are interested in art, nightlife, or simply soaking up the local atmosphere, Williamsburg has something for everyone. It is a beautiful place to visit and an even better place to live. Today, we celebrate the completion of Hope Street. We at Scarano Architect, PLLC have come full circle. The neighborhood is firmly established and desirable. Now, we are building
condominiums to continue our mission of “Hope.” We have succeeded.
