301 Stagg Street
Originally built in 1920, this two-story, single-unit brick building sits on a corner lot of over 3,000 square feet in a Manufacturing zoned area of East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. For nearly a century, the structure stood as part of the area’s industrial landscape before being thoughtfully refurbished and revitalized in 2023.
The Renovation and addition to the second floor was designed by Scarano Architect, PLLC, transforming the former warehouse into a multi-functioning building for both the manufacturing for American Architectural Window Guard Factory as well as the caretakers apartment for the business.
This project highlights how architecture can directly serve civic needs—supporting local manufacturing while contributing to public safety across New York City. It reflects a practical, community-focused approach to design and redevelopment.
