This week\u2019s addition of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/scaranoarchitect.com\/old\/category\/throwback-thursday\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Throwback Thursday<\/a>\u201d will focus on 38 Meserole Street in Brooklyn, New York. This building is located in the trendy section of the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. It was built in 2008 and consists of five stories and 25 units.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The apartments have a communal rooftop with breathtaking views of downtown Brooklyn and the Manhattan skyline. This condominium has some of the best living in the area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The gorgeous apartments have one or two bedrooms. Some with walkout balconies and private master suites, that are appealing as soon as you walk in the door.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The apartments boast beautiful, top-of-the-line chef\u2019s kitchens, complete with marble countertops, custom cabinetry, and high-end appliances. In the living area, you will find floor-to-ceiling windows that bathe the space in natural light and an open floor plan for those who love to entertain. The king-sized master bedroom with an en suite bathroom is the perfect way to wind down at the end of a long day. A queen-sized second bedroom, with plenty of space for additional further, will have your guests never wanting to leave.<\/p>\n<p>The apartment also has the following amenities:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">1, elevator<br \/>\n<\/span>2. pets allowed<br \/>\n3, gym<br \/>\n4, storage available<br \/>\n5. garage parking<br \/>\n6. bike room<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">39 Meserole was originally a depression-era theater, one of the few left in the borough of Brooklyn. Although the residents of the area were worried the historic theater would be demolished, it was already purchased and scheduled to be redeveloped. Scarano Architect, PLLC was retained by the owners to redo the building into a 5-story unit with 25 apartments. The Department of Buildings approved a conversion into a mixed-use building and it allowed a partial demo of the existing structure and the construction of new floors within the shell of the building as well as modifying the existing shell as required.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scarano\u2019s Architect, PLLC has had to take on projects that were not always popular within the community. Unfortunately, with the passing of time, inevitably things must change. This property 38 Meserole, a vacant theatre, was an older building left in ruins. Although it was a historic site, the cost to reconstruct the theatre to its original splendor would be prohibitive. Someone would have to purchase the building and get funding for the restoration. There are just so many people that have the resources, or who can garner the funds to effect these historic rebuilds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Instead of having an empty shell of a building in your neighborhood, wouldn\u2019t it be better to have a condominium filled with families who can add life to the area. No longer would the building be an eyesore, but a shining example of moving forward and building up a neighborhood that will be sought after and a great place to live.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We stand by our decisions to continue to build up the city. 38 Meserole is now a thriving condominium building complete with a dental office and 25 apartments. It was completed in 2008.
